Riding Home – From Lilydale to Woodend via the Big River Road and the Great Victorian Rail Trail (December / January 2017)

We begin with the idea of riding home and then wonder where we might actually begin. We hope to discover new places. We are drawn to the mountains, to relatively quiet roads, and to water and places to swim. Eventually we decide to ride up the Yarra River valley and down the Big and Goulburn River valleys, using a combination of rail trails, sealed and unsealed roads, and 4WD tracks.
